Alex Anders initial foray into fiction is a success. The story is concisely told with enough information to set the characters and scenes without overloading the reader with detail that isn't necessary. The characters AND their actions are believable, which makes the story a winner. Four stars instead of five for a few typos, but these did not detract from the overall story. Well done!
A very hard to put down thriller with plenty of action and believable characters. The story was well written and puts the reader in a location that one can easily relate to. I really enjoyed this story and liked the spin put on the ending. Maybe we'll get a sequel. I would definitely recommend this book to family and friends.

A short story based around the festive season and I read it in one sitting. Although I have to admit to skipping a few paragraphs, not because I was so engrossed that I needed to find out what happens, but more out of boredom for all the unnecessary detail. I did not feel any attachment for Tom, Meg or Cassidy and I think this was because the writing was one dimensional. Too much telling, too much information given verbally and no depth of felt emotions. I did not feel any tension in the story, it was a predictable ending, with a twist, which may lead to another story, but I don't think I will follow that up. If you like short, fast paced, bloody Christmas thrillers, with a Christian element, then this is for you.
I thought the book was very well written. It kept my interest until the end. Described the event and location very well. Looking forward to reading next one.
I liked the way the author described the scenery and characters it made it easier for me to be a part of the story. A gripping and touching ending was very nice. I can't wait for a sequel. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a hero. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
In today's world this is something that we could encounter. Protecting our loved ones is the utmost importance. It was well written by the author. Armed and Determined had me on the edge of my seat. It kept my interest til the end. I love a book with a "hero". Hope there is a sequel.
